7 Reasons to Try a Recore Mattress
Over the last 3 years you’ve heard me talk about my struggle with sleep on several occasions. I’ve tried and tested all the supplements, experimented with different sleep routines and even tackled a full master bedroom make-over to try and find a system that works. And honestly, I was doing fairly well…until we moved and started sleeping on what I consider to the WORST mattress I’ve ever laid on.
After so many years of perfecting my sleep routine, the move to this fully furnished term-rental was a major setback in the sleep department. Even Brent, who has no problem sleeping, started tossing and turning and waking up with a sore back every day. So, when GoodMorning.com contacted us about a collaboration, we were all in. Now, several weeks after sleeping on our new Recore Mattress – we’re die hards. We think you will be too once you read our 7 reasons to try a Recore mattress.
120 Night Extended Sleep Trial
Let’s just start with the biggie that makes trying this mattress a complete no-brainer. If this mattress isn’t everything you hoped for, they send a truck to pick it up at no cost to you and issue a full refund. The only catch is that you’ve got to sleep on for at least 30 days (so not really a catch). This makes trying a Recore absolutely no risk and was a huge selling feature for me. The truth is, you never know how your body will handle a mattress until you actually sleep on it for a period of time. For the record, I will NOT be sending mine back. I’m obsessed.
These mattresses are made in and exclusively sold in Canada. Sustainable, ethical & local shopping has become a mainstay in our lives and we love that the Recore is 100% Canada made.
The Recore is Made for Performance
This is really cool. The Recore mattress is specifically designed for active Canadians and line-up of features are impressive to say the least. From the motion isolating comfort layer to the next-gen cooling technology, the mattress is designed to support your active lifestyle. It’s design relieves joint pressure, keeps you cool, and takes a multi-faceted approach to improving and enhancing your sleep cycles.
Next Generation Technology
OK you guys, I’m not usually “into” all the technology behind these things but the Recore mattress is pretty damn cool. You should totally take 5 minutes to read about the different features but here’s a quick overview of a few that I found really unique.
- SilverCharged™ Antimicrobial Cover. It’s got a silver coated antimicrobial thread woven into the fabric to resits and minimize microbial build up. There are some amazing things being done with silver in the world right now and if you’re not familiar with the anti-odor and anti-microbial properties of it, consider yourself informed!
- Graphite Infused Latex Foam. Allergen-free and cooling technology to pull excess heat away from your body and release it through open air channels. We all know that cooler temps = deeper sleep right?
Front Door Delivery
In case you haven’t figured this out yet, it’s a bed in a box and delivered right to your front door. We loved being able to maneuver the bed easily through the house and into our bedroom without fighting around corners! It’s also super fun to watch it expand in just a few minutes.
They’re super affordable, starting at just $649. And, if you’re a fellow Canadian you’ll really appreciate this part… shipping is free and there are no hidden costs! Ours is a king which starts at $949 (at the time of this post there’s a $100 discount on the Recore site). I can tell you that my last mattress (which isn’t anywhere as nice as this one and boasts far less features) ran me $1900!!!!!! So, to me, the Recore is a steal!
Washable Top Cover
Brilliant. Brilliant. Brilliant. First, the top cover is grey – AMEN! Why didn’t a mattress company think of this sooner? Second, you don’t need to buy an ugly mattress cover in addition to your bed because the Recore comes with a removable, washable cover! I’ve already mentioned that the cover has some pretty awesome antimicrobial technology so I won’t beat a dead horse.
We’ve been sleeping on this mattress for a little over a month now and we both agree it’s fabulous. Brent’s always been a pretty good sleeper so what he’s noticed is that he’s waking up pain free (which is awesome). He’s also appreciating that when I move or get up, it doesn’t wake him up because his side of the bed doesn’t move. My own experience has been wonderful, I’m also waking up with far fewer aches and I’m sleeping much more soundly. Actually, I’ve been waking up earlier than usual and I’m confident that’s because I’m actually sleeping through the night!
GoodMorning.com is giving away some of these amazing beds and we’d love to see one of you win… Here’s how:
