Nova Scotia Food & Nova Scotia Drink Tours
OMG this is exciting! We polled our audience on social media before this show and asked about your experience with Nova Scotia food & drink tours (maybe you participated in the poll yourself). The result was shocking! We couldn’t believe how few people had never been on a food tour or drink tour. Not just here in Nova Scotia, but anywhere!
So, this makes it even more exciting that we get to share this with you. The food and drink tour industry is BOOMING worldwide, and for good reason. It’s one of the best ways to experience a new place (or your own backyard). Exploring any region’s culinary and craft drink culture is a great way to gain a unique perspective of the place you’re touring.
Sip & Taste Tours is the parent company of two pretty rad operations happening right here in Nova Scotia. They offer a limitless variety of food & drink tours that focus on food & drink in Halifax, the wine region in Nova Scotia AND the craft beverage market including breweries, ciders, and distilleries. If all of that isn’t enough, they also offer custom tours. You have the option to piece together a tour that’s completely unique to your own tastes.

Nova Scotia Food & Drink Tours
Taste Halifax
“A city tour with a foodie focus” – that pretty much sums it up. Taste Halifax offers 4 different tours, each catering to a different market. At the time that this is being published the available tours are: Halifax Beer Bus, Eat Halifax Tour, Drink Halifax Tour, & the Halifax Foodie Adventure. The tours all have something special that you can’t just walk in off the street an experience for yourself. For example, the Halifax Foodie Adventure includes an exclusive charcuterie and spirit tasting inside the Citadel National Historic site. How cool is that?
Grape Escapes
Grape escapes is focused on the wine region here in Nova Scotia. Tours leave the Halifax area by bus and travelling to the Annapolis Valley for one of 6 available routes. Now, before you scroll on by – hold your horses! As much as we love a good wine tour (and you know we do), what we’re really fond of is that Grape Escapes offers all sorts of tours that incorporate wine but also include ciders and spirits. They take full advantage of the amazing craft beverage scene in the valley AND they also pair the tours with some delectable culinary tasting as well.
Custom Food & Drink Tours
I,f after scouring their website (visit it here), you still haven’t found your perfect tour – no problemo. You can create your own! Gather up 7 of your closest buds (you need 8) and create a custom tour that reflects your own personality and tastes. They do bachelor/bachelorette parties, birthdays, corporate events and anything else you can think of.
Prices for tours range from $89 to $149 depending on the type of tour you choose and those prices are inclusive. Meaning, you won’t be required to pay any additional fees. This includes your transportation from Halifax, all tastings, treats, flights, etc.
We are pretty stoked to be doing some projects with Sip & Taste this season and can’t wait to crash a Nova Scotia Food & Wine tour or two 😉
