It’s that time again, Fashion Friday!
And another attempt by yours truly to take some steps in the right direction when it comes to putting myself together in the morning. Last week I shared with you a few things I picked up from Idle Clutch Boutique, including these super cute earrings.
Now, I’m not usually one to wear dangly earrings (because I always thought they looked silly on me) but I got SO MANY compliments on these that we decided to do something fun.
A GIVEAWAY!
Since these beauties got so much attention, we’re giving away the matching necklace right here on the blog. All you have to do to enter is leave a comment below and tell us where you’d wear this gold-dipped, feather necklace.
Don’t forget the share this post with your friends so they can enter as well (and for a good laugh at my first attempt fashion vlog below). We’ll draw the winner on April 22nd!
Once you’ve had a chance to watch, I’d love to hear from you in the comments below. I’m curious…
Do you consider yourself fashionable? How much effort, on a scale from 1-10, would you say you put into your “look” each day? How much importance do you place on how you present yourself?
This is new for me and it’s a work in progress but I have to admit, taking a little extra time each morning really does make you feel great! So, I think I’ll keep it up!
Remember, I love hearing from you so please share some of your thoughts and insights in the comments below!
That necklace is gorgeous. I think I could wear it when I am” dressing up” but it looks cool enough to wear anytime. Hope I get the chance to prove this.
I’m totally obsessed with it too… super easy to wear with something more formal or great for adding a little sparkle to a casual look!
I would wear that necklace anywhere and everywhere it’s gorgeous!
That necklace is so pretty! I love dipped anything, but mostly ice cream ? I’d rate my fashion at about a 2, I hate it!! But I could slip that necklace on and feel like I put forth a 10 in effort!
I know right! I’m also about a 2 on the fashion scale but working on it 😉 Join the party girl and we can learn together!
I would wear this beautiful piece of jewelry going out to dinner, here in our province of NS, or when travelling to other places so as to promote our local artisans, which I often do!! Thank you Sara, for doing the same!!!
You are so welcome, thanks for stopping by the blog Arlene!
Well done!! I love fashion, and feel like I’m fairly good at putting myself together in a tastefully disheveled manner! I had no idea the “Idle Clutch” existed, but will def make the drive once the weather gets better! Love all the pieces you showcased! And LOVE the necklace, too? Keep up the great work!!
Thanks Alex! It’s worth the drive for sure!
Great post! I am a lot like you and live in yoga pants and t-shirt lol I am too want to put a bit more effort into my clothes as being a teacher I feel like I should try and look “put together” lol I also feel like having 2 kids I just stopped buying new things for myself ? I would wear the necklace to work or if we ever go on a date lol ?
Mmmm yoga pants…they’re still my fav. Although, lucky for us “jeggings” are a thing now – so it’s basically like tights but they give the illusion of jeans! #winning
I would wear it out on date night with hubby, with the new vest I bought 🙂 I have minus two on a scale of ten for fashion sense so was glad to steal the vest style from your fashion link on idle clutch boutique’s page.
haha minus 2 Cheryl! Not with that vest, that has to give you a solid +2 😉
Id wear this little beauty to the famers market on saturday mornings,it would fancy up an outfit!
I’d love to wear the necklace on a sunny vacation. My fiancé is a Canadian Forces member and a pretty necklace for a mid-deployment reunion with him would be perfect!
*hat tip* to your hubby for being awesome and I agree, a little bling for a reunion would be awesome!
I enjoyed your segment. Wet much and look fixed to following your growth in being able to ” describe” your materials and hauls. It’s a fun segment. Love the necklace and earrings, I would wear them any where . I work with small children and they are always commenting on my choice of jewelry.
Oh, and the first place I would wear them is my date with my husband when I win the CUT draw???
That’s the right attitude Joann! Positive thinking! Good luck 😀
