Alcohol-Free Craft Beer with Gruvi
100+ episodes. That’s how many live happy hour shows we hosted during the shut-down here in Nova Scotia. That’s more than 100 different cocktails and we didn’t repeat a single one. While we enjoy a cocktail, we also recognize that there are plenty of folks looking for alcohol-free craft beer options to enjoy as well. In fact, about 3 weeks into the show, the requests started pouring in asking us to include more alcohol-free drink options and mocktails as alternatives.
When we discovered Gruvi, we were super excited to try their products!
Wait for it… this Canadian family-owned business produces alcohol-free craft beer and prosecco. Yes! We immediately reached out and connect with Anika (one of the owners) and we’re glad we did.

Grüvi is a Canadian family business made up of siblings Niki & Anika Sawni, their parents and family friends. We absolutely love their mission which is “for everyone to feel included regardless of what’s in their cup”. And, to be honest, when it comes to the non-alcoholic space there isn’t much in the way of hip new products…until now!
Alcohol Free Grüvi Products
This is a German-style sour wheat beer. Brewed with natural lemon peel it is a very refreshing, thirst-quenching beer and only 26 calories!
This dark ale contains hints of toasted malt, along with mild oat and coffee notes. We also add roasted barley and chocolate malt, and brew our beer into a dry, full-bodied, non-alcoholic stout.
Their Prosecco is made from wine grapes, it contains all-natural sugars & is gluten-free. It has a floral aroma and a crisp, slightly tart flavor. It’s also great for getting funky with some mocktail recipes.
They’ve also got Wiesse, Lager & new products launching soon so definitely check out their website.
My Thoughts on Grüvi
What I didn’t realize, until I started talking about Grüvi on social media this week, is that there’s a SERIOUS market for 0% alcohol beverages. Y’all are so into it and I get it.
On a personal note, alcohol aside, it’s also really nice to have a lower calorie option for those times when you want to enjoy a beverage but you’re driving, working, or just plain working towards some #goals (like me). The stout (my personal fav) is only 45 calories and tastes pretty darn close to a “real” stout. Check the show for our live reactions to our first sips!
